Sunday Paper: Jackson Layouts

It's the end of May already!  At the beginning of May I challenged myself - and YOU - to create a layout a week in celebration of National Scrapbooking month.  How'd you do?  I made 7 layouts and a few cards!

When I started the challenge I had ideas of finishing up a scrapbook but my Jackson paper pack was laying out from a previous workshop so I decided to go to town with it.  Often I get busy making layouts, adding stamped images and other embellishments I forget about the coordinating complements.  Jackson Complements are cute!  There are many pieces and sentiments I really like.  My mission in creating layouts with my Jackson papers that I also use as much of the coordinating complements as possible!  In the end, I have a few left but I also have the Jackson Picture My Life cards and I can use up the rest of my complements with those. And... truth be told another Jackson paper pack is on my list to get because I like it that much!

Where do you get your inspiration for scrapbooking?  Pinterest, magazines, idea books...  Sometimes it's one element of the layout that gets me started, other times the sketch and in this case... the whole sha-bang!  I scraplifted this first layout from a layout I found on Pinterest.  This layout was designed by Dana Kessler, a fellow CTMH consultant.  She has a knack for creating beautiful pages.  The chevron on the outside of the pages grabbed my attention and it was the perfect layout to get me in the complement-embellishing mojo. 

This layout was created with Jackson papers, Jackson Complements and Brave Enamel Shapes. I went quick and easy with this layout.  There is are no stamped images and no cricut cuts.  Although, I'm sure the chevrons on the sides could easily be cut using the Artbooking cartridge!  I had different pieces cut from different projects and hand cut everything.

Clean, straight lines in my layouts really appeal to me.  They are definitely my go-to.  This next layout was created using Jackson papers and Jackson Complements.  I also added some embellishments from My Crush Wildwood Sticky Tabs and My Crush Wildwood Clips.

Each paper pack has 3-double-sided designed papers.  Depending on the papers that are pared together the layouts can take on a completely different look.  This layout was created using Jackson papers, Jackson Complements, CTMH Spray Pen (with Chocolate Ink and Create-A-Shade Paint), Boardwalk Washi Tape, Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape, Artisian Studs and Magic Mesh.  The sentiments on the bottom of the left pages are from the zip-strip on the Jackson papers.  I'm telling ya' every bit of this paper pack is fun!

I wrapped up my Jackson layouts with this fun layout.  I was inspired by a layout that my upline Karina McQuistan created and scraplifted this idea.  This is the perfect layout to use up scrap papers!  This layout was created using Jackson papers, Jackson Complements and Brave Enamel shapes. 

That's a wrap for my Jackson layouts for now! Like I said I'm going to get another paper pack because I really enjoyed playing with the patterns in this paper.  With 3 boys and all the outdoor adventures we have I'm certain I'll be filling these layouts quickly with cute smiles and fun memories!

Jackson Cards

Hello everyone! Today I'm here to share some cards I've been creating using Jackson paper pack and some of my favorite stamp sets with you.

Common theme in all the cards...
 *I'm lovin' the Jackson Paper Pack.
 *I'm lovin' CTMHs Thick Twine (it comes in 4 different colors). 
 *I love my embellishments! Sequins, staples, triangles - oh my!

The first card was a free make-n-take at my Seasonal Expressions II Preview Party!  I used Jackson paper pack and the Dizzy Circles stamp set.  This stamp set is a newly released stamp set from SEII.  Isn't it fun?! Flash back to childhood Spirographs!  For sure, my favorite flair stamp set from the new Seasonal Idea Book! I embellished this card with Oceanside Sequins and Glacier Thick Twine. The images are stamped in Juniper and Bard Red inks.

This next three cards were cards that were part of my card workshop.  This first one, was created using Jackson papers and Finding the Words stamp set. I embellished this card using Oceanside Sequins, Flaxen Thick Twine and used my Edge Distresser to add texture to the the edge of the glacier piece.  I used Glacier, Cocoa and Barn Red to stamp the sentiment.

Side note: If you're looking for a stamp set that has it all "Finding the Words" might just be that one for you.  It is loaded with 37 sentiments and images to create the perfect message!

Using Jackson papers and April's Stamp of the Month, Typed Note, I created a fun birthday card.  I embellished this card with Flaxen Thick Twine and Triangle Durables.  The typewriter was stamped in Cocoa and I used Flaxen for the sentiment.

This next card was SO fun to make! I just went with it!  I was inspired by the layout on page __ of Seasonal Expressions II.  I love how they used that stamp set to create the stamped triangle images in the background and I had just the perfect stamp set to use. I used Jackson papers and Born To Roam to create this card.  I embellished this card with mini staples and Flaxen Thick Twine.  I grabbed a stack of inks and got inky with Cocoa, Desert Sand, Barn Red, Juniper and Glacier.

Taste of Summer Layout

Who's ready for summer? I am! I am!!

Sunday Paper: Jackson Layouts

Jackson is such a fun paper pack to work with!! The patterns play well with each other and the colors put me in the mood to get outside!

The two layouts I'm sharing with you today are layouts from my Layout Workshop this last week.  This first layout is the alternate layout featured in the Jackson Workshop on the Go Kit.

This second layout is fun and has a lot of room for several pictures.  I didn't include photo mats but envision the center of the layout filled up with our family camping pictures!

This layout has several stamped images from three stamp sets.  "So Happy Here" comes from the Jackson WOTG stamp set.  The fun outdoor-sy images are from the Born to Roam stamp set; I think they complement Jackson well.  This hidden gem of a set can be found in the Idea Book by the Wildwood My Crush Album.   I also added a few tags from May's Stamp of the Month: Just Sayin'.

Side note:  What's in your stash?  Sometimes you might have just what you need right under your nose!  The background stamped triangles is an idea I pulled from Seasonal Expressions but because I didn't have that stamp set was able to use my larger but similar triangles from Born to Roam.
