Friday Night Fun!

Last Friday night was a great time! It was make and take night at the house.  Seven of my scrapping' peeps came! Thanks to everyone who came! :)

I had a ton of fun making the pages and getting organized for everyone!

Here are the three 2-page layouts we made:

CTMH Supplies: Lollydoodle Paper Pack, Slate and Smoothie Cardstock, Smoothie Striped Washi Tape,
Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape, Slate Striped Twist Ties, Aqua Dots.

CTMH Supplies: Skylark Workshop on the Go and Chocolate Woodgrain Washi Tape

CTMH Supplies: Skylark Workshop on the Go, True To Life Stamps, Desert Sand Ink

So... I'm not quite sure what happened to the color of the sweet leaf paper in the second layout.  It really does match in real life and isn't glow-in-the-dark! The third layout the paper in the center looks more yellow uploaded than normal also. I'm going to have to work on my uploading skills because the original pictures look fine! :)

Finally, I wanted to make a little gift for everyone and I decided on making them a card.  The more I thought about it I thought it would be neat if it was actually a card they could use, but I also wanted to write them a note... I made that all work with post-its! I don't have a picture, but I made a cute little two-for-one!  I found white post-it's and was able to turn my thank you card to them into a reusable card easily by writing a message on the post-it and putting it in the inside.  They can take the post-it out and now they have a card they can add to their stash!  Slick, right?!

** Mark your calendar for the next event I'm hosting on Tuesday, June 10th.  We'll be making cards! This workshop will be $10.  Please RSVP by June 2nd! I hope you can make it!!

Check back again soon I'm working on a June date for another scrapbook layout make-and-take.

Close to my Heart, Independent Consultant!

eep!!!! Take a look at what came in the mail for me last week!  (It was a rainy, spring day.  Thank you delivery man for tucking my special box back in the corner out of the rain!)

My new consultant kit! I'm pretty excited to be joining Close to my Heart!  Looking through their idea book is eye candy. Clearly,  I'm now busy making a list and checking it twice! :) CTMH has an April new consultant promotion, going on right now (in case you're interested!), that is really a steal-of-a-deal.  When I looked at all that was in the kit there were many things I was looking to already invest in and a few things I had on my list for next time...well, put it all together for a great price and it was a no-brainer for me, I'm in!  Then, my box came and there was SO MUCH FUN in my little cardboard box!

Here's the promotional picture of what the kit contains.  Believe me, it's this... and MORE!

I've got all kinds of ideas and plans up my sleeve all of which include crafting and friends!! CTMH has many opportunities for crafting that go beyond scrapbooking.  So don't for a second believe you have to be a super-crafter to find some fun here!  I know I'm going to love learning and trying out new projects and techniques as well as enjoy spending more time with my main squeezes, scrapbooking and card making!

Did you know that May is National Scrapbooking month?  How perfect is it that I have received my new kit just in time, right?!

Well.... let's get this party STARTED!!

Save these Dates! Mark your calendars! Let me know you're on your way!
Friday, May 9th from 6pm-8pm Scrapbook Make-and-Take pages
Tuesday, June 10th from 6pm-8pm Cute Cards!

Each of these events will cost $10 and will include the supplies you need to make the pages/cards.  I will ask you to bring your favorite adhesive, paper trimmer and scissors.  I'll let you know if that changes but prepare to be prepared with those things for now.  If you're not interested in the make and takes for the evening but you'd like to come check it out, visit and giggle that'd be fun too!

I want YOU to get in on all the goodies too!!!  Check your calendars and let me know when you'd like to host a home gathering.  The rewards for hosts with Close to my Heart are awesome!  Seriously, host rewards were one of the perks that spoke to me when I was considering signing up.  When you book your gathering through me you can also decide on what type of project I should prepare to bring for you and your guests and that will just be the beginning of the fun and fabulous CTMH products you'll have the opportunity to get!

Alrighty, I'm going to get busy working on layouts for May 9th! You let me know if you can make it! I have all sorts of goodies to share!!

Oh! And.... this blog.... this blog I opened a couple of years ago because I really wanted to share and then life got busy and took over.  Well, I'm back.  At the very least I'm going to try and keep my CTMH information up-to-date and share on this space! I'll take pictures of layouts and projects we do at events and post them afterwards. And... if I get into the habit of sharing to inspire, my original intent, well then I'll be back more often!

Happy Crafting!
