Close to My Heart is changing their stamp policy program.  Currently, upon release each stamp set continues to be available for a year before they retire and Cricut compatible sets have remained available indefinitely.

The new policy, effective immediately, is that stamp sets will be retired when the Idea Books they are featured in retires.  This means that we all need to be sure to scoop up our favorites when we see them!  Stamp sets featured in Seasonal Expressions 1 will be retired at the end of that idea book on April 30, 2016.  Stamp sets featured in Annual Inspirations 2015-2016 and any other stamps sets featured online will be retired on July 31, 2016.  There is a small list of exceptions in stamps that will carry over, as I find out more I will share. 

Now is the perfect time to stock up and save on your favorite stamp sets before they retire!!  One more reason Stampaganza is just plain awesome - get some of your favorites FREE on my shopping site all month long!

Hello, February!

Hey friends!!

I hear Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow which is supposed to mean early spring, right?! Sa-weet!! I love a nice sunny day!  However, in Minne-snow-ta we didn't seem to get the same memo. :)  Today our phones rang early in the morning to let us know we had a "snow day"!! BONUS!! I love bonus days! Happy to have some fresh snow to play in and enjoy the winter days and then Punxsutawney Phil I'm ready for the early spring you predict.  Happy Groundhogs Day!

February is a short month with lots of room to celebrate.  Whether you are celebrating Valentine's Day, birthdays, President's day or snow days (with I'm sure many other options in between) Close to My Heart has many ways to help you celebrate all of these moments in your life!

What have you been making lately? 

I've been creating a few cards for my stash in my spare minutes this month.  This card was created using new Charlotte papers and January stamp of the month, Beloved Bouquet!

Happy New Year! Layout

Happy New Year's Eve!!

I am here to share a layout with you today that you could create and put your favorite pictures from your New Year's Eve celebrations as you count down to 2016.  It could also be used to highlight your favorites from this last year.  It could be a place for your family's new year resolutions or goals.  It would look great displayed in your home in a Designed Decor frame or placed at the beginning of your 2016 Family Album.  The possibilities are endless!! :)

As I played with the paper pack of the month this month, La Vie En Rose, I quickly loved all the the black and white patterns!! Each of these pattern pieces are from the La Vie En Rose paper pack.  The 6th pattern that belongs to the paper pack is a colorful rose pattern.

"Pop, Fizz, Clink" is a cricut cut from the new Artistry CTMH Cricut Collection.  The other embellishments on this layout include: Bodacious Banners stamping, In Review stamping, Watercolor, Gold glitter paper, Gold Fundamental Assortments, Pomegranate Fundamental Assortments, Gold foil tape and Itty Bitty Sparkles.

Do you have any crafting goals for the new year?  One of mine is to keep my Designed Decor frame full all year.  Ideally, I'd love to add a new layout or piece of art each month!  Not only will this layout be out for my family and I to enjoy but it will be a layout that I can quickly and easily add to our family scrapbook. La Vie En Rose Shaker Card

I have loved crafting away with La Vie En Rose papers!  All of the black and white patterns make creating a layout for almost anything possible and fun.  Adding a color or group of colors of any kind can transform this paper from elegant to playful and fun.

I created this shaker card using La Vie En Rose paper, Cricut Artbooking and Finding the Words stamp set.  I created the shaker part of the card with a frame cute from my Artbooking cartridge and used a 4x6 Flip Flap to create the window.  I filled the frame with sequins and glitter and used foam tape to seal the edges, containing all the fun stuff! :) I embellished with Poppy stamped images and Poppy Thick Twine.
